So I went for a walk this beautiful July morning. Walking in a shaded area, I paused and observed a bird rummaging through the well manicured lawn for bugs. A squirrel clutched a nut nearby and out of the corner of my eye a rabbit darted across the hot concrete road towards a wooded area with a pond.
Suddenly this thought came to me “The Lord knows everyone of these animals that I’m seeing for the first time and He has made provision for their food and wellbeing.”
Maybe you are thinking, “Nobody cares about me.” Hey, the one who fed the bird, the squirrel, and the rabbit cares about you. He says in Luke 12: “6 Aren’t five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 In fact, even the hairs on your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid; you are more valuable than many sparrows.”
If God says you are valuable, then you are valuable. The value of an item is determined by what someone is willing to pay for it.
God paid for you with blood. The blood of His son. If you want to know your worth, look at the blood of Jesus. Whatever that blood is worth, that is your true eternal worth!
Lift your head and tell yourself “I am Valuable.”
