Your faith is important to The Lord.
After Jesus shared a parable in Luke Chapter 18, He asked this question; “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”
A lot of people came to Jesus asking for his help with the problems in their lives, some got commended by Jesus and some got a rebuke or reprimand from Jesus.
What is it that those that got commended by Jesus do well?
Let’s take a look at one man that made Jesus marvel with his faith.
In Luke Chapter 8, a centurion came to Jesus about his servant that was sick.
He said to Jesus; “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”
Jesus said immediately; “I will come and heal him.”
The centurion’s response; made Jesus marvel!
He said; “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!
Why did Jesus marvel?
The Centurion gave a simple insight into how our faith works.
He first identified himself also or similar to Jesus, as ‘A Man Under Authority.’ He was saying; just like You-Jesus, I am a man under authority. Give your command like I give my command and I am confident that it will be carried out by your spiritual servants the same way mine is carried out by my physical servants.
A man under authority is
A man or servant that has been given delegated authority from a higher authority for a purpose.
A man that has other men or servants under him to whom he delegates authority too, for a specific purpose.
Men of authority only speak a word and it is done.
After Jesus was baptized by John The Baptist, He had three encounters;
The heavens opened and Holy Spirit came down on Him
He was then led into the wilderness for 40days where he fasted, prayed, was tempted of the devil and overcame the temptation
He then returned from the desert with the power of God with miracles, signs and wonders manifesting.
The Centurion had insight into how, the things of The Kingdom of God operate. He recognized that Jesus was authorized by heaven to use the power of God on the earth. As an authorized man, He must speak what is to be performed and the servants of the Kingdom; The Angels will do the work and power of God will perform the work.
The Centurion was able to see the spiritual aspect of the workings of The Kingdom of God and explained it using the natural workings of the relationship between a Roman Centurion soldier and the hundred men assigned to be under his authority.
Faith is exercising the authority of God on the earth by speaking words of life.
The authority of God releases the resources of The Kingdom of Heaven on the earth. Faith lets, permits, authorizes only the manifestation of the resources of the Kingdom of heaven.
The resources of The Kingdom of Heaven are; healing, peace, joy, love, grace, power, blessing and the Angels that deliver them unto us.
Jesus spoke the command for the servant to be healed, just like the Centurion requested and the servant was healed.
We are the body of Christ and we have been authorized on the earth to live as ‘Men Under Authority,’ just the same way as Jesus lived when He was on the earth.
This is how faith works and how The Kingdom of God is able to manifest on the earth.
Jesus is looking for faith on the earth.
Can Jesus find faith in you?
Will you be commended by Jesus for your faith?
In case you have not received Jesus as your Lord and savior, you can turn your heart over to Jesus right now.
Say this prayer with me: Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and I know, I cannot save myself from the wrath of God. I believe that you died on the cross and you took my sins away. I receive you now as my Lord and Savior. Take my life and use it for your glory. Thank you for saving me.
Begin to read your bible, pray, attend Church and most especially use your faith.
