1 Thessalonians 5:
16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
God’s will concerning you is that you give thanks in every thing.
How can I do that in every situation you might ask?
Firstly, perspective matters, let's think about it, in a thousand years from now what will your perspective be about this current situation?
When you zoom your thoughts out a bit you can see the bigger picture and that gives a new reset to life's challenges and issues.
Secondly, take some time and recount all the good things that has happened for you since you woke up this morning. You had a roof over your head, rolled out of bed, ate breakfast, ....... keep on going, there is so much to be grateful for when you realize that every moment is a precious gift from God.
Thirdly, God enjoys hearing your praise, worship and thanksgiving. God delights in hearing from his children especially when they return to give thanks for all the wonderful things He has done and continues to do in their lives.
On this national Thanksgiving Day as you enjoy your meal also remember to give Thanks to The Lord for this is His will concerning you.
